AMC’s hit comedy series “The Walking Season” is in the works, Variety has learned.
The series, which is based on the popular web series of the same name, will feature stars like Reiner and “CrazyEx-Gotham’s” Carrie Brownstein as the title character’s roommates.
It’s set in New York City in the fall and centers on a group of friends and friends’ girlfriends, and they have to get together to take on a new job in order to keep the show alive.
It will premiere this fall.
Reiner will be the lead of the series, and Brownstein will play the roommate, Maggie.
The series was produced by AMC, and will be directed by James L. Brooks.
“We are so excited to bring ‘The Darker Side’ to HBO and the world.
Carl Reiners and Carrie Brownstons character, Maggie, will be back to bring our world a whole new level of horror,” the network said in a statement.”
Crazy, Ex- Girlfriend” is set to debut on April 23, and Reiner has been rumored to be in talks to star.
The two have starred together in “The Revenant,” and Brownstarks role is not known.
Reiners character, Carl, has been in the public eye for years.
He starred in the 2010 hit film “The Big Sick” with Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams, and was briefly cast as a lead in “Glee.”
He also appeared in the upcoming TV movie “Hangover 2: Reunited” alongside Kate Winslet, as well as in the short film “Shoot the Messenger” with Kevin Spacey.
Reino also recently starred as a guest star on the Netflix comedy series, “Black-ish.”
He played one of the two students in the series that is currently in production.
