This year’s Daredevil film, meanwhile, won Best Picture at the 73rd Academy Awards, making it the fifth highest-grossing film of all time.
The latest instalment of the Power Rangers franchise will see the heroes take to the big screen again in 2017, and we’ve got the scoop on what to expect.

In 2017, the franchise earned an average of $1.8 billion (£1.1 billion) worldwide, which is a staggering sum for a film of this size.
The movie was released in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand in July 2018.
The first installment was released worldwide in November 2018.
The sequel was released domestically in February 2019, followed by the third installment in June 2020.
The fourth and final film in the series was released globally in June 2021.
The new installment will see three new characters join the Ranger squad, including the new villain, the leader of the evil Skullcandy.
We’ll also get to see the return of the old Ranger, Mr. Mxyzptlk.
The big screen version of the Ranger franchise is now in its seventh film, with the last two being the most successful and successful of any Ranger franchise, so there’s plenty to look forward to for the next batch of films.
While Daredevil is still a huge hit in its home country of New York City, its popularity has spread globally.
In the UK, it earned $1 billion (£946 million) at the UK box office in 2018, and is now the fifth-highest grosser of all-time.
The US has also seen huge success with its movie, earning $4.1 million (£2.4 million) in 2018.
Elsewhere, the film is currently playing in China, with China’s Box Office Mojo reporting a $1 million (€1.6 million) profit for the film, which earned $14.6m (£12.2 million) worldwide in 2019.
In France, it’s a $732,000 (£543,000) success in 2018 and $2.6 billion (£2 billion) in 2019, which would place it fourth overall for the year.
It’s also the sixth-highest-grosser of the franchise worldwide.
The next installment in the Power Ranger franchise will be released in 2019 in the UK and Australia, respectively.
It is expected to gross $10 million (£6.7 million) internationally.
The last film in Power Rangers, The Power of the Mystic, earned $6.1m (£5.7m) in North America in 2020, and the last installment in that franchise is set to hit cinemas in 2019 across the United Kingdom, Australia and New South Wales.
It will be followed by a new film in 2019 that is also based on the Power of The Mystic TV series, Power Rangers: Mystic Force.
