Legendary Pictures announced on Tuesday that it has picked up a production deal with the Power Rangers franchise, the latest franchise to be officially sanctioned by the United States Copyright infringement is a federal offense, punishable by up to three years in prison.
The Power Rangers reboot of the cartoon series will be produced by MGM Pictures.
It will star David Schwimmer, Kevin Hart, Riz Ahmed, Dacre Montgomery, and the original cast.
It is set for a May 25, 2019 release in the United Kingdom.
Power Rangers: The Power of Three, a spinoff movie that will focus on the franchise’s second film, is currently slated to be released on May 26, 2019 in the U.S. The film, which will feature a cast comprised of Hart, Schwarzenegger, Montgomery, Ahmed, Hart’s former wife, and others, will be directed by Rhett Reese, who previously directed the Power Ranger movies.
